Information We Collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. Once the product launches and you create an account, we may also collect your name and study preferences (like subject areas and study goals). If you upload documents or audio, we process those files solely to provide the study features you requested — we don't store them beyond your active session unless you've explicitly saved them.
How We Use Your Information
Your email is used to send you launch updates, early access invitations, and product announcements. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. Inside the product, your study session data — notes, transcriptions, uploaded files — is used only to power the features you're actively using.
Data & AI Training
Method is built on a strict principle: your content is never used to train AI models. Your lecture transcriptions, document uploads, and conversation history with the AI tutor remain yours. They are processed in real-time to generate responses, then discarded unless you choose to save a session.
Cookies & Analytics
We use minimal analytics to understand how the product is used — things like which features are popular and where users get stuck. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We may use session cookies to keep you signed in. You can clear cookies from your browser at any time.
Data Retention
Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing us — we'll process the request within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit. Database access is restricted and audited. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can always unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any email we send. For any other privacy requests, contact us at methodstudy.app@gmail.com and we'll respond promptly.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email (if you're on our list) and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Method after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
